Barford, Williams, Joly, and Starkevich are a 4-partner firm with a combined experience of 65 years. We have been operating in the Edson and area since 1973. We specialize in small to medium sized businesses in a variety of industries. BWJ&S have highly trained, experienced staff who make us of the latest infomration technology tools.
Shannon Barford
Shannon obtained her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Calgary in April 1992 and her CA designation in June 1995. Prior to moving to Edson she worked with Pricewaterhouse Chartered Accountants in Edmonton. She joined the firm in November 1993 and became a partner in January 2001. Her interests include horses, sports, camping and her family.
Kerri Williams
Kerri obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in April 1996 and her CA designation in June 1999. Prior to moving to Edson, she worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers Chartered Accountants and the Auditor General of Alberta. She joined the firm in December 2000 and became partner in January 2007. Her interests include volleyball, snowmobiling, quadding and watching her children’s sporting activities.
Gerald Joly
Gerald grew up in Edson and relocated to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. He acquired his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2002 then articled with Grant Thornton LLP in Edmonton, working mainly with small to medium businesses. He obtained his CA designation in 2004. In January 2006, eager for a family atmosphere and a sense of community, he and his wife, Amanda, moved back to Edson. Gerald became a partner in January 2009.
Ashley Starkevich
Ashley grew up in Edson and moved to Edmonton to obtain her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta. Upon receiving her degree in 2007, she moved back to Edson, began articling with the firm and obtained her CA designation in 2010. Her interests include photography and spending time with her family.
Several staff members are Simply Accounting Certified Consultants.
